April is always a busy month for BioSITErs, and of course as Spring blooms- it makes all of us happy to be outside! So get ready!!

BioSITE kits for classroom list

View the list of kits available for checkout and email us so we can put you on the calendar. These are classroom activities designed to supplement the BioSITE field units, full instructions and materials included-- engage your students in come great extension activities!

We will work with you on when and how to pick up your kit of choice, and you can keep the kit for one to two weeks so you can share it with partner teachers. And if you have ideas to create more kits-- just let us know. We are always glad to hear your feedback.

BioSITE 4th Grade Share Projects

BioSITE Journaling : BioSITE field work engages students in practicing the skills of observation and nature study.
River Map Project: Students work together to create a river map based on observations made during BioSITE field visits.
Share Your Science Project Poster: Students have the opportunity to create a poster about investigations (not limited to BioSITE) that they have done in class or for a science fair.
Schoolyard Naturalist: Students will be able to explore their own school habitat through one of three different designs. Ask a question/ Design an Experiment, Schoolyard Field Guide, or Individual Study Spot.
River of Words: Facilitated by CDM staff, this project encourages students to use art and prose to celebrate their local watershed.
Buddy Project: 4th grader students facilitate the Watershed Mapmaking activity for a younger buddy class.
